Please check the income limit on your tax card

Remember to make sure that the annual income limit on your tax card is large enough for the rest of the year. If the income limit is exceeded, we will withhold tax from your benefit according to the additional percentage on your tax card. You can check your situation in the eService status information or in our latest payment notification. If necessary, you can order a new tax card for the rest of the year from a tax office or the Tax Administration's MyTax service. Although the 2022 tax card is only valid until 31 December 2022, we will still use it in January 2023. If the annual income limit is exceeded in December, we will only use the additional percentage for benefits paid in December. In January, the annual income limit will be reset and we will withhold tax from the benefit to be paid in January again according to the basic percentage for 2022.

How do I get a revised tax deduction card for the benefit?

You can request a revised tax deduction card from your local tax office or via the Finnish Tax Administration’s MyTax service. When you report the Unemployment Fund Aria as the payer of the benefit, the Tax Administration will provide us with the information about your tax card electronically within 1–2 business days. We will use the information in your revised tax deduction card from the day we receive the information. In the MyTax service, you cannot separately select a revised tax card for the benefit. The service will make you a benefit tax card when you report an estimate of your benefit under Other income / Benefits in the tax card application. You will find the amount of your benefits in your unemployment fund’s decision or your payment notice. If you have not yet received our decision on your benefits, you can use our daily allowance calculator to estimate the amount.
