Finnish Government proposes additional adjustment index of benefits
The Finnish Government proposes an additional adjustment index to some benefits linked to the national pension index. With the adjustment index, the amount of earnings-related daily allowance, alternation allowance and mobility allowance would also increase. The adjustment would increase benefits for the period from 1 August to 31 December 2022.
The amount of the increase would depend on the benefit and its amount. In the Government proposal, it has been estimated that, for example, the earnings-related daily allowance defined for a monthly salary of 2,621 € would increase gross by approximately 0.67 € per day, or approximately 14.40 € per month.
Please note that the additional adjustment index increase has not yet been provided for by law. We will provide further information as we receive more information on the progress of the Government's proposal.
