Exceptions in our services in December and around New Year’s Day

Independence Day on 6 December 2022, Boxing Day on 26 December 2022 and Epiphany on 6 January 2023 are midweek holidays and no benefits will be paid on these days. This may cause a slight delay in benefit payments. Our telephone service is also closed on Independence Day on 6 December. Normally, our telephone service at 020 7655 900 is open Mondays from 9–12, Tuesdays 12–2, Wednesdays 9–12 and Thursdays 9–12. You can use our electronic service outside of our service hours as well. In the eService, you can view payment notices and decisions, and send applications and messages to us, among other things.  

Maintenance break in our systems from 23 to 30 December 2022

Maintenance work will be carried out in our systems at the turn of the year, causing the electronic eService and payment system to be unavailable from 23 to 30 December 2022. During this time, the eService is closed. This means that you will not be able to view your information or send applications, attachments or messages in eServices. Our telephone service will also be closed during the maintenance break. You can reach us by phone again on Monday, 2 January 2023, when our telephone service is exceptionally open between 10 and 12. We will send another notice about the maintenance break later.
