Aaria Unemployment Fund and Unemployment Fund Pro sign letter of intent to merge

Aaria Unemployment Fund and The unemployment fund Pro have signed a letter of intent regarding a potential merger of the two unemployment funds. The aim is to enhance cost-efficiency and financial stability, as a merged fund would be better equipped to meet future obligations and challenges facing unemployment funds, while continuing to develop its services and operations. Following the merger, the combined fund would have approximately 190,000 members.

If the merger is approved by the highest decision-making bodies of both Aaria Unemployment Fund and The unemployment fund Pro during 2026, the new, merged unemployment fund is expected to begin serving its members from 1 January 2027.

The merger will not require any action from members of the funds, and there will be no changes to accrued unemployment benefit entitlements or the payment of earnings-related allowance.
